I agree about the learn and grow part, but happiness is what you make it.
I've seen nothing of late which lends credence to the notion of a happy everything dude, and a wealth of things which convince me that the opposite is true.
God exists and he's a sadist who endowed us with all the silly optimism and capacity for denial necessary to get out of bed for a lifetime of mornings and then lets us, and everyone and everything we love, die.
Didja ever stop to think that we're not here to have a happy time but to learn and grow?

Absolutely, but it's hard to do that when cancer (or miscarriage, or whatevelr else) comes along and cancels ones efforts in that respect.

Guilty as charged. We all have our moments. It is part of the human condition. However some ONLY talk about small things while others try to push beyond that with ideas and concepts.
Pretty damn simple concept here- maybe that's your problem?
I will repeat the OP concept for you. This shows what the regressive right in this country, including the candidate for VP, most on the house science committee and hundreds of others in OFFICE as GOP leaders want to steer us to.
Can you honestly disagree with that truth? The anti-choice coalition here is actually worse than in Ireland. They have Catholics pushing it - as we do here (the more fundamentalist catholics), but we can add to those the Nutz. I don't think they have Nutz in Ireland.
It's a valid point. I suspect your anger is tied to that you know it is.
