I like the idea of run what you brung inshore sailboat racing. yes it would be nice to have a sport boat to run single or double handed - but not as practical as one would want given the weather, overnight stays and impending family obligations. The fleet of Moore 24s and J24 ghost with no wind and rarely do not get a DNF. I have access to an Olson 30 - quite spartan but ok.
I am leaning on taking my boat which is more suitable for all day race cruising. The ability to fire up a burner and do a blue cheese burger beats a chance at a pickle dish collected later. maybe it a sign I am getting older. just know when you pass me in Richmond, call ahead and tell me how you want your patty done or how much foam you want on your latte.
