wtf IS a pedicab??? Will that be the new means of transportation in the country of Texas??
Probably only in Austin which is so cool they always wear their sunglasses at night there. You see Austin isn't really a Texas city even though it is the capitol. I am pretty sure there is a plan that if Texas secedes from the US, they will leave Austin behind, surround it with a wall or something like West Berlin back in the day. Welcome to Austin, an island of culture in a vast redneck sea. Austin is where all of the old hippies go to die. It is the only city in Texas where a guy like Gouv can get away with hair that long on a man his age!

Good media. Sure looks as if you are going to need more than just 'some' rain in order to fill the lake. Is the water bieng deverted that is supposed to be there?
Sail safe!
A hurricane would be nice!!

Damn you and your hurricane! How about a nice slow tropical depression? Storm surge makes me nervous.

And as it has been stated before, there are no natural lakes in Texas.

Not how I pictured him.
I think that would be true of most people here on SA if we have never met them. In real life I am 6'6", 240 lb., middle aged white male, with short gray hair.

Finally, a face and demeanor to go with an SA acquaintance. In this case, impressive and eloquent, Fred.
It triggered a dream last night where I was in a room full of us bozos, sipping drinks and wearing name tags, with the Gouv holding court.
Go pedicabs.
In the dream Snaggs was quite popular but invisible, just a name tag, so in curiosity I went looking for DoRag...

nice job, gouv.... glad to see you are getting the word out about this. and wtf? you don't need a diet....
are you sending some of those pedi cabs to new orleans? we started getting a few (now a lot) of those about a year ago.
I am building fiberglass parts for two local guys who bought a Seattle Company called Tipke Pedicabs. Tipke was formed by some wise fellow for making transportation availble during the Wrld's Fair that left the Space Needle as its landmark.
The seat parts shown in the video are my first seats off my new molds made 7" wider as American asses have grown since the seventies.
The guys who bought the Tipke company are a couple pretty impressive youngsters. They have a big van and a huge trailer which they load up and go places when they think there is money to be made. They do go to new Orleans during the Mardi Gras and have permits to operate in NO. They also went all the way to both the Republican and Democrat conventions this year and made money doing it.
Other jaunts include Rangers homestands in Arlington and big football weekends.
I am having a blast doing the pedicab stuff for a whole lot of reasons.
1. The enthusiasm is infectous
2. I haven't built full size molds since the seventies ( just motor mounts for J-24, a one meter long RC boat, and some other tiny things)
3. The fact I was already doing the pedicab molds and parts let me say yes when the Circraft Guy asked me to build his toys in the USA.
3. I haven't run a fiberglass parts production department since 1980 and by summer I may have a whole new building dedicated to doing just that.
4. If we have the capacity to build small fiberglass parts...it is a lot shorter jump to building some sort of small boat and despite fears I am way way ahead of myself, i am already talking to people about my first love, doing something that could be very very big in the world of small boat sailing.
And as for that "needing a diet??" I am 60 lbs heavier than when I last ran a fiberglass production shop and at least 30 of that slows me down in a laser no matter how hard it is blowing...not to mention the fact people my age and shaped like me regularly grab their chests and forever stop doing anything.
It realy is time to SERIOUSLY start pimping the regatta so I will sign this one>>>

Is Lance Armstrong pimping a pedicab in Austin? Maybe not if there is any drug testing.
Well done Gouv. May your water levels rise. There are some good size boats in that puddle.
It's still 120 feet deep in that puddle. It's weird that it went to this level 2 years ago and has just kinda stayed there.
I'm also sure there isn't a pedicab driver here that could pass a drug test.
