OK so I saw this thing on PBS with a group called Quartetto Gelato..a Concert in Wine Country ...and thought the cello player was pretty special...and linked some youtube stuff below....But

it turns out neither of the women in that TV show are listed on the group's webpage..

and the oboe player died in 2006..

So...This thread is WAY behind and out of date...

But it's up anyway

Okay, look, repressed syntactilly and grammatically challenged old dude, there is no such thing as "almost porn"- it is or it ain't.... and if you can search it on a sheeplesite like youtube, then it is not porn, almost or otherwise, by definition. Real men find real porn. finding upscale fiddle players with sagging bra straps? erm.....

I was thinking more along the US Republican party's definition of porn being something you watch while having thoughts you shouldn't oughta have unless targeted at your spouse and only for purposes of reproduction.

The bare shoulders thing is pretty common with female classical soloists - especially string soloists - who can carry it off. Anne-Sophie Mutter claimed that she liked to feel her violin on her shoulder without anything in the way.

BTW, she was quite the looker back in the day. And well preserved at 49.

I look at Anne-Sophie as one of those, who has become more beautiful with maturity.

+1

And she plays without a shoulder rest. Way more classical and sensuous, too :-)

She can be quite into her work when she practices, almost to much concentration, but that's what practice is about, getting it just right.

That practice really shows when she does a live performance....oh-la-la!
