That must be the old SOPAC 42. They built a few of them and one logged a lot of ocean miles and ended up here in the PNW. My favorite was the one called PERRYAIRE.

If you have the mold and some free time, you are 2/3s of the way there!

But some chuckleheads in Kansas CIty and Arizona fucked it all up for me.
And I was going to give away the first hull to some lucky winner in CA.

Well, I was planning on getting those molds. Hell, I had a brand new state-of-the-art facility all ready to go up in Duluth, a bunch of talented shipwrights I was ready to put on the payroll, you name it. It would have been awesome. AWESOME I tell ya!

You better tell Reis. He had dispatched a detail on his private container ship to collect it and deliver stateside.

A very well protected container ship, given the security detail, I'm sure.

I actually walked off a job because some son of some corporate dude started telling his buddies who I was. I called his dad and quit, right there.
Why? I'm there to protect you, not be tested by your football buddies.
So no. The first rule of having a bodyguard or a 'security detail' is you don't talk about the bodyguard or 'security detail'.
Unless, of course, you need a security detail because you are crazy. Then, no one will believe you anyway and I can just smile knowingly and tell people I'm there to protect *them* from *you*.

On top of being batshit crazy, of course.

Reis needs a security detail because otherwise he puts his underwear on after his pants, and he never remembers to bring enough Depends.
On top of being batshit crazy, of course.
I always made it clear. I don't dress you. That is what your orderly is for.

I knew a RCMP guy who was on security detail for Prince Philip on one of HRH's visits to the Colonies. He said Primps Phip was such a massive asshole there was no way he was jumping in front of a bullet.

I don't think it is. It doesn't fit the model of the current cruiser/racer. It's not broad enough aft. It may be a betterall round boat than some of the current ones but it doesn;t have the volume aft to compete with accomodations.
To me it's just an old design.
But I have happy memories of that project with two fun trips to NZ, some good lamb, helping sheer the sheep ( I just chased them) and cooking for old friends.

Who is likely to by this? Someone VERY handy that wants a head-start on building his own 40+ footer from the ground up, or an outfit looking to get into some limited series production?
Pedigree aside, what is something that that actually worth?
Bigger question, how much will they owe Bob in royalties??

It read something like "SEX - If you have a penis and some free time, you are 2/3s of the way there".
