Looks close to an S&S Allied 42. The doghouse has a slight step that the Allied does not have and the transom is slightly different. The boat in the photo looks to have the standard S&S cove stripe.

Nah, and it isn't that big a boat. Because she has low freeboard it gives the impression she is longer. However if you look at the people in the cockpit and get a sense of how tall they are, the cockpit and fantail is about 10 feet long. So LOA of the boat is like 38 feet +/-.
I also suspect that the image has been stretched some based on the angle of the backstay and headstay to the waterline, further adding to the appearence of her being longer.

While the main ports are wrong, almost looks like a Le Comte Northeast 38 without her mizzen. Has sort of a Tripp jr. feel to her.

There's a Swede 41 "Alessandra" around here that looks a lot like that, especially the bulge in the cabin just aft of the stick.
Very slender hull, lots of overhang. Haven't found a photo of that one, but it looks like this:

I still have to say that the low stern, to me, looks so typical of an E. G. van de Stadt design.
http://sailboatdata....p?class_id=3800
Also, that scoop at the companionway is also seen on many boats built by Tyler boat co.
I agree that it looks bigger than 36 feet. But the resemblance is still striking.

I remember the boat being and Endeavour 36 so Excalibur 36 could be correct. I drink sometimes...... :D

The gentleman who owns this boat is great. I worked in Trinidad for a year and Rupert and his crew were good enough to take me out. Great bunch of guys.

The picture has been stretched sideways.....

Name is just Excalibur, LOA = 36', beam 10', draft 6', design by EG Van de Stadt 1964, built by Southern Ocean Shipyard molded by Tyler.

I guess it is a Knud Reimers designed "Bacchant" (fiberglass series manufacture of the 60ties).
