Not sure what to make of this dude. Kind of rooting for him to make it through the winter...It's certainly better then living under a bridge getting shit on by pigeons...

Looks like he's docking the canoe up to the North End and some pretty pricey areas. He looks to be on a Boston Sailing Center mooring unless the Waterboat Marina has some? Apparently the cops, CG and EP were all chasing him around the other day. Guess they let him slide...

I saw his canoe yesterday when I passed over the Washington Street bridge. That canoe is fully loaded.

He won't make it past 1/1 before the Coasties drag him in. The real estate around the public harbor in that area are very high end as you guys know and it won't be tolerated. They'll eventually get him on some trumped up charge after giving him several chances.

I wouldn't be surprised after he's been asked to leave they find him on one of the harbor islands under the national parks authority.

what law would he be breaking if he just threw out an anchor? I am assuming that it is small enough he doesn't need to get it registered. if it is a designated anchorage he doesn't need to have an anchor light. He may have to move from time to time if there is a time limit on how long a person can be anchored in one spot like they have down in florida, so maybe he gets a sea-tow membership and they come tow him to his new home for a month...

However I am also reminded of back in the 90's when I was working in a marina and every morning I would have to go kick the homeless guys out of the abandoned boats. without fail every year at least one crackhead would light a fire inside the boat to stay warm... one problem it was an old dried out wood boat....

So as long as this guy doesnt try to blaze up a fire on the raft he should be pretty good to go

Practicing Anarchist? Waterborn Hobo? we get one of those down here on West River every now and then.. some little pos catalina or oday loaded to the gunwales with god knows what. They anchor out for a while then move on to another creek. Sometimes they'll run a little genset all night and that can get annoying... I dont really give a shit unless they start rummaging through my boats or dock boxes.

All the waters near the the BSC are considered non-navigable and if he is anchored there, he may have a good chance at staying for some time.
