Trip up the Brissie river through the Port yesterday.
Saw the Wharro show in the slings getting the foils fitted. (sorry no pics)
Far more interesting was the Olson 30 flying courtesy flags and headed towards Customs.
Rust streaks running from the staunchion bases and looking like it was just completing a long ocean passage.
Fitted up with solar panels and dacron sails that had done some work.
Anyone know the story?

Wharro was useing the Olsen 30 to smuggle his new 9 Mtr keel into the country.
It was built secretly in Tonga.

They intended to fit the keel by digging a deep hole but dale never showed up.
Now get back to work.

http://adrianjohnson.info/. Profile on here is idefix, but doesn't post.

Boat is from Seattle. Adrian raced in the SHTP from San Francisco to Hawaii in July (he won in 2010) and continued on with a couple of friends to Australia. A long way to go in an Olson 30...

You should make him an expensive gift of some oxalic acid (active ingredient in FSR).

Better to sell it than ship it (or sail it) back to America...
