Hello, i heard a Mexican team sailed the Quarter Ton Cup 1978 and/or 1979 with a Jim Lensveld modified (open transom) Manzanita 25. The boat is getting a lot of TLC in the Netherlands at the moment, but does anyone know something about this boat? Thanks, Hylke (Ecume de Mer 1/4 tonner 'Pura Vida')

I believe she is in Drimmelen at the moment. Nice blue hull with black spars. Looking good. She may be out of the water for the winter season as I have not seen her lately. Is normally moored at the "Amer" sailing club.

@ Maarten, no that is the 'IMPULS', former 'Dynamique'. Very nice one indeed, looking good!
@ Chorus, I know that page. I think it is the Manzanita 'Mazatlan', but no info about the crew or the boat... ;-(

Oops, that's one from a long gone past !
As far as i remember it was more of a cruising than racing yacht at a time when the cup was going in full one-off direction.

He moved away from sailboats to motor-boats and has been extremely succesful at that.
