It needs a transom to straighten the hull sides; the starboard side looks to be leaning out slightly.

IOM Class Rule D.2.2 © The forward 10 mm of the hull shall be of elastomeric material.


That's the bow bumper. They all got 'em. The molded hulls all have a very noticeable flat where the bumper is later glued in place.

Where are the chines?


IOM's are a box rule, so you can chine or not chine. And it can't be an IOM for the exact reason Somebody Else said. Bow bumper is a rule requirement. I've built and sailed an IOM, but have not stayed in a holiday in recently...
