Hi, anyone know a supplier for carbon fibre cloth in Montreal?

Noah's shipping charges are quite painful, and I happen to be going to Montreal, so maybe there is a supplier there?

thanks,

Freeman Supply & Manufacturing. Next to highway 13 right near the north edge of the island. I dealt with them recently (like less than 2 weeks ago) and they came recommended from other sailors. PM me for details.

Also, not sure if mystere will sell you cloth, they advertise that they manufacture. They're also located in Pointe-Calumet, not sure if that's convenient for you...

Same guys I listed, they seem to have a few different names. They're also the guys who make miapoxy.

Why not talk to Dave Bradly and Phil Locker at CCI/Phils Foils.  They're in Ottawa, like you are.

@Matt, yah I remembered them, I checked their site but not carefully enough apparently. I just recheck/read more carefully.  You are right they do mention they will sell material now on the Chandlery page.  I guess I was biased to expect a no since that what I was told in the past.  Looks like they have changed.  Cool.

@Py26129, @Reht - thanks I will give them a shout if the local route doesn't pan out.

thanks.

How much you need? I just bought the order minimum from Freeman and it's way more than I'll ever need in my lifetime (and that includes my carbon fibre burial shroud mummy dressing). I'll be coming to Ottawa shortly for OSGP10...

Trev, the minimum order at Freeman is 1 yard (which really isn't much). It's more for glass (5 yards). At least that's how it is now, not sure if they ever had a different policy...

I'm good thanks.  Noah's shipping calculator is busted; they charge a lot less.  Found out when I called and asked...
