This will cause some flak.
B'Quest could have kept sailing even though they did not qualify for the race due to the MOB Requirements.
Those MOB Requirements make sense to any sane sailor. Well maybe Clean is not sane.
It is obvious that Urban did not want to sail to Hawaii with a guy with PTSD, but rather he needed B'Quest to be Refit.
Clean, this little piece of drivel just shows how little you know and understand about sailing and sailing with disabilities.
Please tell me why you have never stayed after the Chi-Mac to join in as a volunteer at the Chicago YC NACC. I think it is a week after.
I think the NACC is the oldest Disabled Sailing Event in NA. I could be wrong but I'm not far off.
The reason you have not stayed to join in is because "You do not Care" or more likely you have not found anyone to pay your pathetic way.
Clean, have you ever heard of "investigative reporting".
I emailed with Urban before the B'Quest refit to chat about the endevour and it was obvious to me that it was nothing more than a refit for B'Quest.
I think the generous SD community has been taken. $150K could be far better spent than sending 2 guys to Hawaii.
SA has never covered a disabled event in depth, even though there have been 2 IFDS World Championships in the last 10 years in the US.
SA never once covered my expenses at an event, even though I wrote about them.
Though the Community did donate for me to get to the Miami OCR once.....and I thank the Community for that. It was a real eye opener into the International Disabled Sailing World.
