Wanted to start a new thread as the old one is full of crap and burried.

Basic Plan:

1.  Play on yahoo

2.  Auto draft - you can choose your order if you would like, or system will auto pick it for you

3.  $10 per head goes to winner at end of season.

4.  Basic rules might change some stuff but low key

Prob want to limit it to 10 as it is more fun that way but would concider more if the group wants to allow it.  We have been doing it for about 5 years,  the old team setup was screwy and no one has the passwords so I will start a new league.  Reply to this thread if you want in.  First 10 get dibs.

Bring it.....

I will do it.  9 so far.  Details in OP.  I figure best to draft after 4th gm if auto draft so that puts it around sept 3, maybe the 6th as the 3rd is after the holiday weekend where people will be sailin.....  Prob limmit it to 10 as 12 ends up being a pita if your draft goes bad and you can't pick anyone up on wavers.  I will get you all the details once league is set up.

It looks like everyone is in, I am gonna finalize it tonight.  Draft Tues Sept 3 7:00?  Trades after nov 29 or earlier??  Playoffs wk 15, 16 and 17 or just 16, 17??

Can't finalize draft date/time until teams locked in.

Let me know by tonight if confusion is imminent.  Otherwise settings are set.

Is that 7pm mountain time?

I've never had the fantasy Superbowl be on week 17 since that's the last regular season NFL week, and a lot of team are sitting starters.

My suggestion would be to have 4 playoff spots, and have round 1 of the playoffs week 15 and the SB week 16.

Just a thought...just the tip!

Don't shoot the messenger or a I am gonna just set it and forget about it..  I am jsut throwing it out there.  IMHO yes week 15 then sb week 16 maybe if we want 6 teams in to keep it interesting for everyone then we go wk 14 15 16...  Otherwise  the bottom 6 teams stop playing at wk 12 or so cause there is no hope and the rest of the season is shit.

Do we want wavers??  I vote for 1 day.  Don't really care what others do after that.  Took divisions out.  Will set draft for wed the 3rd.

Not shooting the messenger, just trying to help.

In another league I'm commissioning, we have a loser tax.  Basically for this league you would pay an extra $10 for last place, that way the teams that suck don't roll over at the end of the season effecting bubble teams.  If you're not making the playoffs, you fighting to not be DFL.

If cool with the 1 day waiver.  And I would have the priority based on standings.

Was going to set it to go at 6 mst.  Auto is not mandatory, but I cannot change it to regular until I get home from work.(no access).  I assumed(wrongly) that everyone set their draft order days ago and let the thing autopick.  I think if regular and you do not pick in 1min 30 sec it picks for you, but not sure.  I should be home around 3:30 - 4:00 mst so check back then.

So I get a message about the QB and points for sacks.  This would be the first league I've been a part of where the QB was penalized for sacks.  Seems harsh to me since sack often have to do with the O-Line and not the QB.

IF you want sacks I would vote for -1 point for a sack taken, and would really prefer there to be no penalty for a sack.

-5 is too much.  I'd say -2 at the most, preferably -1.  Or zero.

Whoever has Julius Thomas is sitting on a fantasy goldmine.  I tried to pick him up Wed, but he was already on someone's roster.

1 more change I want to run by you guys.  There are - points in there for D that allows xxx amount of yards.  (300-399 = -5 400 - 499 = -10 etc) I would like to take negative points out of that category or knock em down to something reasonable.  Kind of negates the d if they have a semi bad game or play a great QB.

Let me know what you think.

Is it to late to change the waiver rules. I hate having to be watching the waiver wire while games are going on.

Could players go on waiver from Sunday to Tuesday? Pick order would be based on placing.

1. Yes, or at least adjust them to make them less penal.

2. Should not be able to pick up players during the game.  Waiver wire should run Tuesday with waiver order based on record - worst to first.

Fine by me.  The QB thing I agree with, it changed to 2 when I set the bench to 5 guys and I didn't notice before draft.  That change is going to be the biggest.  I personally did not draft with 2 in mind (hence flacco), but others may have.  2slow is correct that if your d sucks you pay but the way it is set is way to harsh.

What I have now.

Neg d points will be lowered or eliminated.

I will fuck with waver wire

and I have 2 votes to go to 1 QB......

After tonight scorring will be closed as all games will have been played.  Right now it is no big deal but after MNF games no more.......

I'm ok with starting 1 qb.

If you're going to be making changes to the active rosters, I'm also OK with rb/rb/wr/wr/flex, rather than 3 wr's and a flex, but I'm fine either way.

I will give you that no one looked at the points...that much, and changing all that shit for the better is all good with me.

But going from 2 QBs to 1 QB is too much of a change!

I'm happy to put Brees and Rodgers on the trade block, and will be happy to hear offers...

It's not my fault I was 1 of only 2 people who decided to NOT auto pick, and was fully aware of 2 QBs going into the draft.

Sorry I'm not sorry for drafting them!

Wavers changed to Sun - Tues  I think they were already that but I fucked with em so much that I donno.  That is what they are set to.

D points lowered to be not as Obnoxous but high enough to keep 2 slow happy ......

And NoCal gets 3 qb's we all get 2......  so he won't take his ball and go home......

Good job on catching that on draft night btw.  I was looking through the results and Luck, Eli and Vick were still available in the 7th....

Anything else??

I need a beer...

If I had to guess I would say Punani Jackson will be the first player to just quit FF this year.  Someone needs to explain to poor mr jackson that it is not a good idea to have a back up kicker and defense.

I'm not going anywhere.  I'm still better than two teams.

As a past Sa Fantasy champion I am upset that I missed this season.

Hopefully I can get back in next year!

God  sucked, 3-13.....   Ok, ether dopo just Volunteered to be commish nxt yr and set up something coherent for all to follow or sir pinchmeister gets to take the reigns and subdue this lot nxt year as the previous years winner.  I am officially retired as commish.   PM me with addresses and I can send out master list.
