USA USA USA!!!!

Kiwi's....ZERO.  Couldn't be bothered to show up.

So if somehow the Kiwi's win AC 34, are they really sure they want to put the Cup back in monoslugs?

And 8 out of the top 10. A whole lot easier to get to SD if you live in USA, than anywhere else.

Yup, so we get the geographical advantage this year.  Still, no Kiwi's.

USA has now won the Star, Etchells, J24 and Lightning Worlds this year.

And people still think we such. Yeah Right.

Well, in all fairness, the class is nonOlympic so anitpodeans can no longer get paid to show up unless it is as crew. Stars are hardly sailed at all there, there are a lot more ozzies at the 14 worlds.

Seriously it's Peter Houston, he only ever has one point, being racist about New Zealanders, but if you can read more into anything he posts your welcome to it.

Even if he starts a thread seemingly about something else, that's where it always ends up every time, usually though he just starts there and gets worse...

After the star was dropped from the Olympics the Aussie boats were sold off for a song. You could buy a top flight boat for $5000. They're so complicated that the guys who bought them spend their weekends trying to figure how all the rig controls work.

I thinks its fucking brilliant, he obviously hates us, and we dont even have to put in any effort to get under his skin. He winds himself up without any input at all.

I must say, if there is one Oracle supporter who is sure to be a bad loser and even worse winner it is this guy.

You didnt give it enough rum then, we float fairly well when full of rum, only normally in a face down position. The best thing about it, kiwi sailors are blind to the threat hidden behind the offer of rum, sweet rum, speaking of which, my glass appears empty...

I am off to the bar, I may be some time....

What point! Star, etchells... worlds are world events with sailors from around the world.

y88,s and pied pipers are 2nd rate NZ only classes sailed by Joe average club sailors that would look rather piss poor at a world event unless they could modify the boat for an advantage.

Down at Tiburon and richmond YC,s there are better world class etchells sailors sailing club races to a world class level every weekend.

NZ is full of many sailors sailing mavericks and moaning about handicap systems.

That's why they don,t front in classes anymore.

No! You and many small minded kiwis have a big problem. Your talent base has shrunk. You guys have not got the skill and dollars to go to the big " world class" events and your'e whole sailing system Is geared around a few rich Olympic sailor has beens and the AC which has drawn your'e genuine talent offshore.

beside peter Burling and jo aleh you have nothing and nobody to front the elite world fleets.

Namely

Finn

Laser

Etchells

star

This is where all the great sailors are derived!

Truth hurts aye kiwi,s

Good luck for tomorrow.

Hardly a fleet nor quality of regatta that has quality sailors at a world level moron!

The elite of sailing is not AC in any form. World champs, in the big five classes, is where its at.

Moot point WT. Yes he is a good sailor but he is sailing Y88's in NZ!! Which proves my point.

You are comparing a local club championship , disguised as a nationals, with one good sailor and a heep of average guys versus a world champs with top class sailors.

And as for the pied pipers!!! There are better world class sailors sailing j24's on a Sunday here.

This shit fight is really fucking stupid!

If there is anything I can say about the Star class, it is that the Star class is a cohesive community of sailors that pay very little attention to national boundaries.

It is insulting that such an idiotic argument is associated with the Star class.

Why don't you guys take this to one of the other brilliant AC threads and leave the Stars alone.
