Hey there folks.

Bought my second boat ('84 Wellcraft made Buccaneer 18) in September. Not new to sailing....been a few years but been back into it the last few summers. New to ownership starting  with a Kingfisher III two summers ago.

Got the Bucc for a song, and have had it out a few(10) times. Has a North 110 headsail, North main. Missing the spin, but I'll pick one up in the spring.

So far, I like it a lot.  Half of my outings have been single handed. Only once been out with crew that knows what's going on.

Anyway photos to come.

Check the search feature.  There is a pretty good Buccaneer thread.

I'm in northern Michigan.

Sailed today in thermals, fleece and windbreaker and a knit hat.

Guess I need to fill out my profile info....

Go join the Yahoo group email list - it's pretty active with lots of Buccaneer folks chatting.  And then you can go to some races - either with your boat, or team up with someone else.  I started with a Starwind with the flexy mast, and have moved right up the line to the stiff, very fast Nickels.
