Looks to me like a Riviera 60 with some kind of wooden sailing boat in the foreground.

Nice... probably something European, maybe Italian... and EXPENSIVE... and should really be on www.boatporn.us (Yes, that site is perfectly safe, even at work!), not SA?

It's only very rarely you see a boat that's nothing like you've seen before, and makes you say 'holy shit!'

Beautiful boat. What is the purpose of the slight downward rake of the sprit?

My guess is that it stiffens the construction.. that little pre-bend makes it stiffer and it therefore does not flex upwards when flying the chute

the lines at the front of the cockpit are halyards etc. lead through clutches which are operated by small trigger lines as they are hidden below deck.

the lines coming from the side are led through cleats and are probably trimming devices such as traveller, jib car, mainsheet and maybe vang.

Having seen the boat up close I have to say it was build with attention to detail. AFAIK the hull is cold molded and the deck is composite covered with veneer. The lockers below the seats are completely black from the inside.

I'd be in the market at about $35K. There's probably someone will to pay a bit more than I, however. But 600G? That's just crazy shit. You could buy 3 Beneteau's for that!

It's easy to grin

When your ship comes in

And you've got the stock market beat.

But the man worthwhile,

Is the man who can smile,

When his shorts are too tight in the seat.

Okay, Pookie. Do the honors.

Look ! Hardly a bow wave, almost nothing at the midship section, and  no stern quarter wave/wake? I am impressed.

Of course, there are no extremities into the water to change the whole gamut of things.
