Santarella just came in. Head of the chute is at the masthead.

Better that, than the clew.

Pretty sure that's not fast. Can it be replaced by Monday?

DAMN, that's slow.

It was one of "those" years, after a couple of light ones. I'm not sure which conditions make you appreciate getting to KW more, the endless VMG run or the weather punch in the nuts kind of year.

Thursday nights on the island are better attended with the latter, I know that. Ouch. My head. When will I learn my lesson?

Did Wes get on a boat for the week?

You are quite welcome. I will spare everyone from my lack of video prowess for the week. I'll be northbound tomorrow. Been shooting some boat porn this morning, which I will work on getting posted at some point today.

Not sure about Wes for RW yet. He was not feeling great this morning, last I heard. It won't be a chili and tequila morning for him....

Nothing for race week yet. I'd like to stay and race my brains out but am prepared to fly home tomorrow afternoon

I missed this island. Whole crew staying on the Swan makes for some pretty special celebrations. Tonight is gonna be fun.

You can probably get Crisco at any convenience store on the island. Just FYI. YMMV.

Can't imagine NOT finding a ride, if you walk the docks?  Always some last minute no-shows, or someone willing to take on another able bodied seaman.

Chucked off the boat. But he won the race. That should have had him locked up for steady crew position and the chance to jump back on to defend the title.

So, get off your arse and start walking the docks, mate!  That's how I got my first SORC ride on the Holland 40, Flirt of Paget with Shorty Trimingham, and a year later I was mate, then BN on a 65 footer....

Because the FL-kW feeder race is the epitome of SORC greatness and so important and one of the great oceans races that I think most Grand Prix boats will now be retrofitting into Dacron sails and racing dinghy davits that can be retracted for cruising. That's wittey.

I don't go posting shit about most of my rides these days for just that reason. In this case there was a social media award at stake and I was specifically requested by the skipper to put out as much content (text, media, otherwise) as possible.

Geezus you are funny. Everyone knows without a top shelf "mid mast" (whatever the fuck that is) a program is doomed.

I almost chose cook when I self-selected the position for yachtscoring. Mid-mast seemed even less useful than that so it's what I went with.

Appreciate it. 3.73 is halfway between cum laude and magna cum laude. a 4.0 this semester would get it close but still not enough to make the magic number. I'm okay with cum laude.

Like espo said, it's all about the cum!!

Does the truth hurt you guys?

Your posts are like Woodys. Too difficult to understand, and if you do, not worth the effort.

Tired acts!

Long winter on LIS, not good enough to get a ride down south, and lacks the balls to post that under his real ID.

Pretty damn good. Our cook did up some italian sausage, chicken and meatballs before the race and froze them so when it came dinner time we did the pasta and heated the meat up in the sauce. That made for some good eats.

Well done on Dragon Fly, btw. Looks like an awful lot of fun from the videos. I love "bracing" conditions!
