As much as I like the Clash cover, give the credit to Toots Hibbert.

Man I love Toots voice!   Never saw him play with Govt. Mule, Gracias

The Specials did a legit cover of Pressure Drop also, but I am pretty sure you know that :)

As much as I like most of Bowies sound my favorite has always be Scary Monsters.

Often thought that Bauhaus did Ziggy Stardust better then Bowie himself.

Only light rain at the moment here on Vancouver Island, but it's blowing 50 knots gusting 55. Heavy rain supposed to be coming any time now. This is the first of a series of storms that will be hitting us over the next week. I can hardly wait.

How are you Snaggs?

Nice sunny 50° day here in southern New Jersey, it's December, this is a holiday in the sun.

Not to be confused with a holiday in Cambodia

A walk would be nice, Snaggs.

Have been painting the walls in our hallways and stairways all day...had to set up ladders and planks so I could reach to do the walls and edges above the stairs.  Been at it for two days, probably two more days to go....

This is the only shitty thing about having a three-story house., but I'll be glad I did it when I'm finished.

Going to hang out with some friends around the firepit tonight for oysters, cigars, and booze...lots of booze...

Wreck like the clash version. I have heard the Toots version. I have Robert Palmer's on my boat mix? Just wrapped presents with the better half and wondering what's for supper and what to drink with it. Thinking a Negroni wishing I were in Italy. Cheers.

As much as I have admired David Bowie's  music over the last 35 years, I was somewhat perplexed that even non-commercial radio stations such as WXPN which played 10 hours if his recordings non stop this past Monday failed to cover the Tin Machine era.

What a great week.  My entire sound system in the power boat is shot, the temps dropped even down here in Florida (which made watching the natives bust out parkas and boots with fur comedic to say the least), and I'm almost out of my Caribbean rum that we can't get in the states.

Of course I'm most distraught about the rum.

Wind chill here is about -100 so I'm making cinnamon buns from scratch just to warm up.

Am I the only one who hears a voice in my head going "kill the rabbit, kill the rabbit" when listening to this:

oops

This thread reminds me of the first thread I ever started.

We make our own a lot but tonight we're ordering in. Anchovies really turbo the salt intake.

Pepperoni, mushrooms, ham, salami, onions, olives, green peppers, shrimp, lean beef, pineapple, tomatoes and anchovies.

One of those, and a double Hawaiian.

No driving allowed here in PUI so the only thing you have to worry about on a field trip is your spelling...

Mainsheetsister, I never got the chance to tell you, I'm so sorry about what happened to Catherine. She said some very kind things to me when I got divorced and she was such a pistol around here.

Thanks.

Coming up on 4 years since she died.  Hard to believe.

Just yesterday, I went digging through the bin of her clothes for a hat that our cousin had made.  I guess I oughta go through that stuff and donate it somewhere.  I think I'm finally ready to do that.

I can not imagine how hard that must be. I lost a good friend to cancer when we were 32 but a sister would be even wosre. Maybe have a gal pal with you when you go thru her things. Might make it a little less painful.

Plenty grog this weekend Gina, I do not even have to work tomorrow.

As a sidenote it has been a mild Winter so far, let us hope that it does not rear it's ugly head in March.
