Have always been a fan of alternate boats, for me its grin factor for bang factor. Orbit has a good equation. Looks like my racing career is going to be chasing 40+ footers in my super 30???, will just have to wait and see.

Man news gets around, it's my new boat.... I bought the boat a couple of months ago. Its taken me 2 months to get her back to Oz. If people are interested Karam Police is for sell and is in Melbourne, would love to have two of these on the harbour.

Afternoon storm today, 70+ knots recorded at the coast guard near entrance of the harbour! Of course just as a 50+ wags fleet was comming in harbour! Perfect timing!
All crew ok, couple of boats with minor damage, glad we were just 50m from jetty when it started to hit, got real wet, and lost a nearly full can of Rum!

When are you in Perth?Well, the time has arrived! The Barney Army clan are off on a big lap of this great country of ours! 126 days on the road, life is short and we have no time to loose! Looking forward to seeing the west coast and the kimberlies. Yeah I know it's not sailing oriented and I don't own a sporty anymore but I don't give a shit!
Anyone in Perth or Darwin want to take me for a sail?

Saturday was a lottery and rarely gusted above 2kts, nearly everyone had a turn at the front. Eventualy it was Attitude, As-If, Stay Tuned, Charlie, No Limits, Nervous, Wha-Ka, Twister, Transit Lounge, Rip it Up. On SMS it was Slippery Deck, Stay Tuned, As-If
Sunday was better, only 5kts to 8kts SW but at least it was constant. No limits broke away and won easily, Attiude ran aground before the finish so As-If was second followed by Transit Lounge, Stay Tuned, Attitude, Wha-Ka, Charlie, Slippery Deck, Nervous, Rip it Up and Twister. On SMS it was No Limits, As-If and Stay Tuned.
Overall SMS went to Stay Tuned from As-If and Slippery Deck.
The Leech 650 looked fast but just didn't get enough breeze.
Interestingly, if Nervous had a typical Elliot 7 SMS of under 0.780 they would have cleaned up. Oops - theyure're not a sportsboat anymore!

Made the fists steps this week - put As-If into an industrial shed ready for tidy-up and have cancelled the hardstand at RQ. Currently building a steel frame so we can lift it off the trailer and keel and wheel it around.
Have listed it on Boatpoint yesterday - so will see what interest we get.
When are you getting back into Sportsboats?

I don't think a magic 25 with a symmetrical was granted the same don't know why.
or a Runnals 8 with a symmetrical
or the S.A. Rockets with a symmetrical
appears to be No conspiracy at all.
now the Exemptions, consistency there too
Magic 25 has its OD design trapezes ..Exempted although disallowed in the regular asba fleet
Melges24 has its OD design hiking lines Exempted " " " " " " " " " " " " "
Elliott 7 has its OD design equipment.. Exempted " " " " " " " " " " " " "
does anyone know why goggles won't swap his t boat for an E ? the CBH of .835 he'd be able to sail up to that ?

now
- you can race OD,
- you can race TYa,
- and if you want you can race Sportsboat assoc.
- that's three (3) times the events of most other trailables
Posted 20 May 2012 - 03:29 AM
you want to resort to namecalling & personal you whining dumb fuck?
how on earth your better half put up with ur snivelling & moaning for so long is anyones guess hey
------------------------
NOT that this affects your Sym. T7 in any way whatsoever ... ( yes just one more opportunity. for you to moan & shitstir on the forums)
your post in question was so full of erroneous '?facts?" it wasn't worth the reply which was just mud wrestling with a pig basically
You questioned my 'informer or information YET you haven't even read, or are vaguely familiar with the eligibilty/ exemption clauses,
you said that the OD magic is ineligible but is has been for years, there is one on the SMS listing
of course 'being aware' would not be in your interests, that being moaning like a fuck about all & sundry that does NOT affect your program
Posted 20 May 2012 - 09:37 AM

We are a little early, currently camped at Cliff head about 20 kms south of Dongara. Meeting a mate at a NP just north of Perth Friday Night. Will be in town Sunday sometime. The west coast is an amazing part of the Australian coastline. A must do/ see in my eyes. Looking forward to the South West scenery, not the temperatures. There are 2 sports boat races at SoPYC during August.
Will be in Perth about early August
The first is on Sunday the 5th, the second on Sunday the 18th.

I gotta say you are mental to sail in this weather. With a max of low teens, rain and effing windy you can shove this part of the world where the sun don't shine. Mind you the scenery, speccy. I have never had so many hot drinks in my life, oh and the rum always seems to be empty. Gimme the sunshine state anyday."KISS" has been out on the bay in Melbourne with new owner its fuckin freezing but a blast to sail, our old T7 been out as well doing bits and pieces . can't wait for twilights to start so we can see our handicap, if we start before the other boats finish we will be rapt.
