Completely agree. As stated, I personally would never give my dad the shove regardless of whether he squandered business opportunities.
For a while I did due diligence and high risk assessment for a bank, and I was in a different company every week for almost two years. Typically the "high risk" segment of those I saw had a founder and CEO who was a product specialists, but he couldn't handle one or all of the pricing, financing, accounting and human resources aspects of the position. I've seen Tom's situation more than one would expect. I'm also not saying this was the case with Larry and Quantum...
