Interested to know how they perform. Has the boat competed in any races yet?
What would they be expected to be near around the cans?

Davo, A vested interest? I heard rumours of a Hobart trip with Dazza and KenS. (Whatever happened to him?) From the website looks a little likle a Beneslow 40.7. All good though. Enjoy!I see there is a boat in the Sydney to Hobart "Salona" (Salona 37)

Looks like an X-Yacht knockoff- right down to the interior woodworking. Not that that's a bad thing.

Talked with these guys at the Annapolis Show, really nice boat, good people and the build quality looked to me a step above other production boats. On the Chesapeake the dealers boat rates 81 PHRF with a 135% HS. I am sure somebody across the pond would have the IRC rating as they are built over there with a bigger presence.
The 45 is a really sweet ride, fuck that would be sweet to bang around the Caribbean for the winter on one of those!!!

I talked to the dealer at the show, and my fuzzy memory seems to recall that the dealers boat didn't have the deeper keel. But I easily could be wrong.

I seem to recall that as well… I know the 45 had the deep ass keel; 8.3' shit that is fine for the Islands PR and south but would not want to be dragging that bitch around the Chesapeake or the Bahamas…
BTW that is one ugly camel toe; you can do better than that…

I found this thread while searching for a PHRF rating. I bought the Salona 37 that was in Oxford MD. Keel deprived but what is there is a good one. Fixed prop that is huge on the saildrive. Bottom paint was applied with a mop. The rig was not centered in the boat and mast head waaay off to port. Gave you one good tack. Now, a year later she is proper, outfitted and my wife loves it. Now that the selling the wife process is over we are getting a rating, new sails, sprayed VC17 and ready to go have some fun.

What do you mean? Salona 45 was introduced about 10 years ago and now they have Salona 44: http://www.salonayac...models/s44.html
