Hey, that Challenger site has a lot of other good shit about the inner workings of the Cup.
The spanking incident involved four photographs of Luna Rossa's ITA-94 which were taken from an America's Cup Management (ACM) boat by an international media photographer, for a French newspaper, in the closed area (to allow competitors some secrecy in testing).
Just as well it wasn't something serious like sending a diver over to the Thames Street dock of Australia II to get some underwater shots of Benny's keel.
