A good cause. Unfortunately always difficult to convince the "significant other" to spend both Sat and Sunday on the water. Is Roger doing a cameo in the chopper?
Posted 03 November 2007 - 12:01 AM
Tim's boat is called Waitoo.speaking of coffs...who off the lake is in...so far, I know of Hell Razer, Frantic maybe, a Masram 30 ...can't think of the name...belongs to Tim Royle, my Carter...anyone else??

Apparently the Skite plates are getting too heavy and the owners don't have big enough trophy cabinets!![]()

Disappointing! Vego
Do you know what happened to "Wings"?
BB said they were coming to play.
Considering the invitation went out to all clubs it seems again that support for other yacht clubs has gone by the wayside![]()
A big thanks to all that did come out.
Weather probably had an impact but I didn't realise there were so many fair weather sailors around!![]()
AND,
Where were you guys Gorn?

No idea. From memory Tobacco Road (flush desk Adams 11.9?) was the gun boat in it's day. Had a feeling the Sweeney might have been a Farr 11.6. Piccolo of course was the Farr 1104 that won Hobart in the mid to late 70's.Whatever happened to
Matika II (Nev Hines) (numerous sydney hobart entrant)
The Sweeney
Tobacco Road
Grounds For (F37)
Piccles
Christopher rabbit
which were at LMYC in the early 80's?
Posted 24 December 2007 - 04:45 AM
Fathom and a Northshore 34, looks like the pulpit and all stanchions on the port side will need to be replaced, as well as a decent whack about where the drive would sitwhich two LMYC boats got a little friendly at the top mark on saturday?

3 months later, several shipping cancellations and serious issues with the local RTA the 1D35 has finally arrived. CB (co-owner), TDribble and myself were at Marmong this arvo as "Hippie Chick" appeared. Should be out on the water by Sunsail.Shipping schedules changing by the day. Changing ships in Durban (South Africa). Arriving approx 16 or 26 January 08
New Fathom? Bigger? quicker? - than a Sydney 39CR?

Going to stick with the etchell for rest of season. Looking at Sunsail, Sydney / Crowdy head / Newcastle and friday nights with the new boat. Unlikely to be ready for LMYC Pittwater offshore. No decisions about next year yet. Towing company was stopped twice by the RTA over 2 days trying to leave the docks at Glebe island. The first time was not allowed to continue because for inadequate signage. The second time had to modify trailer to reduce mast overhang at the rear.Good to hear Vego, always a good feeling when they're finally yours to play with, after your shipping woes it sounds like we got extremely lucky with how smooth ours went. What were the issues you had with the RTA?? they might not like sumthing we're planning either
Have heard about 2 possibilities for the new Fathom, 1 could be faster, the other could be a step backwards in terms of speed, you guys going to join the latter part of the pointscore and the full thing next year?
