If it didn't make a difference to anyone, why are your panties in such a fucking bunch? These two are phonies. Put the information out there -- all of the information -- and let people decide for themselves if R&S are worth the accolades of a grateful humanity.

This has been a fun hobby, a lot of laughs and an entertaining way to spend the off season. If I were in this for the attention, I would have allowed the press that has contacted me to use my real name so I could have my 5 minutes of fame. But, unlike R&S, I am not an attention whore.

If either of these two is exposed in the mainstream media for what they are, are you going to blame the press? With all this hovain spin and calling people that don't suck up to these two idiots "haters", it is interesting that not a single person has come here and provided a cogent argument against any of the main issues raised here in the past few months. The collision did happen, no problem. Reid is a convicted drug smuggler and a deadbeat dad. He knew he couldn't achieve even half his goals well before he left Hoboken, and yet he continued to use those goals for his "mission" to solicit donations and sponsors. That, in my mind, makes him a con artist as well. Argue those points.

I could give a shit about Reid and Soanya, but I don't think they deserve the accolades of an uneducated public. There are real sailors out there that can claim accomplishments that make this 1000 days fiasco look like taking an afternoon nap. There are also real heroes and role models in the world. The best of them, sailors and otherwise, have a common trait that is no where to be seen in Reid or Soanya, and that is humility.

I look forward to the start of sailing season and to Reid and Soanya's 1000 day voyage into obscurity.

You seem smart enough to understand my point - I couldn't care less about you writing your expose', talk to the media, put up billboards or talk on the radio. Whether I think it is right or not doesn't really matter - it is what it is. Anyone who "thrusts themselves into the public eye" like Reid, Sonya, and they "handlers" have becomes a public figure. There have now been dozens of articles written about them, a few bizarre webcasts, some radio interviews, and so on - she is a public figure by anyone's definition.

I think if Sonya is having a party and she doesn't want any uninvited guests, she needs to have a security person at the door. Simple, really.

Whether she's "as much of" a public figure as Britney Spears also isn't the issue - once she decided to publicize herself so heavily, she essentially consented to the extra interest from the public - both positive and negative. That's just how it goes.

But he made the boat, too, and all this weird artstuff on the boat so I didn't tell him it was ratty. For three years I did everything I could to get his attention, volunteering on the boat to help him make enough money to sail away for almost three years. He didn't even notice me. I took tons of pictures of him and his stinking boat but he never even noticed me. But then he was getting kicked off of the pier and there was nowhere else for him to go that was free so he had to go to Hoboken in rotten New Jersey. He said "I don't want no stinkin New Jersey." But he didn't have a choice. I had my chance! Nobody else wanted to go on the long boat ride or to stinkin New Jersey so I told him I'd go with him for the loooonnnngggg boat ride, even though I hate boats. Finally, I was going to get to have sex with him! After all these years of him not even noticing me, I was going to get to have sex with him. So he told me I could come to stinkin Hoboken New Jersey with him but I had to wear my Catholic Girls School uniform on the boat. I got sick going to stinkin New Jersey on the boat but he told me I would get over that.

Anybody who isn't willing to kneel before the lord god Reid is not welcome anywhere near them. The truth is bad publicity.

I never said that I am in the business of bettering humanity. I'm in the business of enjoying my life with friends and family. I do my part quietly volunteering and giving back to society. R&S left Hoboken with grandiose claims about how they were motivated by selfless ideals and to make the world a better place. Soanya quits the mission early and is immediately schlepping a book. Where's her credibility?

If the National Inquirer offered me $10,000 for my angle on all this, I'd take it as Regatta Dog, and I would refuse it without a second thought if they insisted on using my real name. Why? I enjoy my relatively obscure life and $10K isn't enough to put that at risk.

It is appropriate to threaten to crash her party here, because the folks at mission control monitor this site. Whether I follow through or not, the folks at MC will be concerned that I will show up, and I find that very humorous. If I do show up, you can rest assured that I will personally treat Soanya and anyone else I encounter with respect. I will also be prepared to talk to the press with handouts. I can't imagine that this gathering will not be used as another venue to spin this sham.

Questions for Soanya:

When you set out, you had set specific goals for your voyage besides the amount of time you would spend at sea. Which of those goals did you achieve?

Will you be using the word Azure frequently in your forthcoming book?

When you write your book, are you planning on simply expanding on the topics covered in your posts, or are you going to go into detail about your relationship with Reid while at sea?

When the boat from RPYC was brining you to shore, did the ham sandwich have cheese? Mayo or mustard?

Regarding your book, will you be doing this on your own, with Reid?

Do you have any formal ties with the official 1000 days organization? If so, can you explain them?

Did you know before you left that Reid was a convicted drug smuggler and that he had thousands of dollars in unpaid child support?

Where are the tires?

You spent 300 days with Reid, perhaps you can explain to me how this voyage differed from Jon Sander's voyage to uniquely qualify 1000 days at sea as "space analogous".

On your website you claim that donations go toward "Reid debt". Can you provide an accounting that shows what percentage goes towards that versus the expenses of the shore team?

Did 1000 days at sea ever represent to potential donors or sponsors that their donations would be tax deductible?

Where's the best deli close to MC headquarters to get a good ham sandwich?

The "records" you mention on your website seem to change to fit Reid's ever changing situation, can we expect them to change again?

Can you explain how Reid intends to attain the stated goals of the voyage?

We've seen some posts on Sailing Anarchy that are very pro Reid Stowe, does your team make comments on Sailing Anarchy?

Have you actually seen the Void Ho video? Did your eyes and ears bleed?

Will the 1000 days website ever acknowledge that the clock for the record books was set back off Perth?

How will you deal with the mainstream press once they start asking questions about Reid's past and the lack of accomplishing the goals of the cruise?

A few days ago Reid sent back a picture of him flying the "Earth Flag" and talked about the importance of environmental awareness. Can you comment of the allegations that in 1995, while at Pier 63, Reid was served a criminal summons for pumping raw sewage into the Hudson River?

Should the Anne return someday to the US, would Reid be interested in selling me Squawk as a memento?
