Some good stuff from the RCYC here.
And you can check out the tracking here.
We really want to hear about the tracking most of all. Let us know how it's working so we can really improve it!

My bad.
Spoke with a guy in Toronto and he indicated that the weather was starting to ramp up.
Should be a great day to watch a Match race from my office. cold over there @ RCYC

I have the fan on in my office...just for the breeze...
Should be interesting if the breeze comes on. Might point more toward boathandling. HB typically likes more breeze.

I Agree, I think boathandling should favor HB. Wonder what the weights come in at for both boats?

Let's get some stuff going. Bora...what do you have today? Sly?
what do you mean?
I have a little buzz from the tequila last night but thats about it
looking at the forecast hb should lay the smack down. i am very skeptical though if bob wins this that he will be able to change the event to what he is claiming he wants to do. I dont think the canadians will go for it.

RC team shelled out a significant amount of money to bring in some big names, I think it is too little too late, but i could be totally wrong.
It is funny they have a really nice official website but no one has took the time to enter any team info.

Alex Krstajic - Helm
Gavin Brady - Tactician
Cameron Dunn
Jon Ziskind
Ian Nowell

I'm not sure about those last two - they made their final selections yesterday at weigh-in. There guys who could be on instead of the last two are Hugh Beaton, Matt Johnston, Rob Emery, Kevin Stittle.
I'll see if I can get more. There's a link on the RCYC.CA site under regattas>Canada's Cup that may be updated. Feel free to put it up here for the benefit of the viewers.

Someone else asked about the girl on Heartbreaker - that's Becky Damore, sails on Team Gill and I think a Mumm program - from Annapolis. We sailed with her in Ocean City, NJ - solid sailor, but only in the game a couple of years. Ted Etheridge, partner of BH in this cup (funded it), was meant to sail, but he was too heavy for the crew, so Becky got the call.
Little update - Jerry's guy Russ is having a stupid issue with the transponders - since the time is still set on west coast, they've got some shit happeing where it won't update because it things it's history. Getting it fixed...and prestart is only a few seconds away!

hmm bob got someone to fund it with the promise of going sailing. then cant make weight with him onboard and gives him the boot!!! Classic! So they must have been doing some good math there to have to take a little girl versus an adult male hahaha

Never said I was a good sailor, let alone match racer, but I just seem to have heard that the Number One Rule about match racing is to "STAY BETWEEN YOUR COMPETITION AND THE MARK."
And yeah, BH lost the Cup in 2001 because he split on the last leg, with about a one minute lead. Gucci Tactician or not, I've never heard a real answer as to why you'd split from your competition if you're in the lead, especially with a comfortable lead with a win in hand.
I guess you just can't fix stupid.
If anyone has a good answer to my question, I'll take back everything I've said about BH and his apparent stupidity.
