Peters still on the water getting mor epics. Maltese was northbound sailing from Bay Bridge towards Angel Island, near Treasure Island at time...Immediately reduced sail and gybed back...they are all between the Embarcadero and Yerba Buena right now sorting things out...

Our club in Seattle has a great award for this -- it's an annual award given to the clear winner for the year. It's a mounted 1/2 toilet seat - called the "Half Vast" award. photo evidence is definitely required - or at least direct witnesses - you score extra points if you f*ck up and still keep the club burgee flying :D
I think one year we had a winner who motored around in front of a local drawbridge, signaling for the bridge to open and getting pissed when it wouldn't open for him. Bridgetender ultimately opened his window and shouted down to the guy that he didn't have a mast in the boat :D :D :D

The boat that hit MF is " Stand Bye"??? Non discript 40' sloop with two males on board.... with just main and jib rounding up... nearly gettin run over Nobody hurt...Some champagne spilled on MF...

Nice picture, but that doesen't look to bad. Who really was in the wrong though? If I was to leeward i would call him up, even if his boat's a little bit bigger. Wonder whos insurance will have to pay for the repairs..
