I guess you lose Danni, first one to stoop to profanity. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Oh well, back to real world problems, thanks for playing. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

So what do you think Sequel's log looks like? A binder with a bunch of pages stuck in then randomly (and constantly) edited and revised?

This really is very funny stuff....

Nah, I'm guessing it's more akin to the novel Jack Nicholson was writing in THE SHINING...

Perhaps someday I'll get to find out... why, just last week, he invited me to dinner aboard SEQUEL, with the promise to show me his flying-logs...

On the other hand, he could simply cut to the chase, and treat us to a pic... Nothing he likes more than photographing stacks of books, right?

Still, I'd prefer some pretty-pics from Sweden, or Eureka, or of the Big-Spring...

Jon, you have an obligation towards the forum and towards a couple litters full of dead puppies to graciously accept that offer, we'll expect no less than a full report on the secrets of his world-famous Thai Pad, the flying logs, the thousands of letters and mails from his adoring audience , and of course a load of pix, minimum requirement would be
(1) a pic of you and DT both wearing a breton cap
(2) Deb's boobs, and while you're at it, go for the full monty
(3) the thousands untouched books
(4) the mysterious spring mounted on his steering gear
....
....
go boldly where no COI forumnite has ever gone, yes you can !

And don't forget the tripod! Or is that installed yet?

Jon's just a dumb-as-a-post unemployed wannabe captain. Maybe we should take up a collection to fly him across the country on this research mission? It seems at least as interesting as Clean going to look at a wing. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

collection ? there is still a nice bit of money locked away somewhere for the SA AC challenge, no ? surely we can find an angle for Jon to fit in that scheme, sort of like Jon is assigned by SA to seek out bodacious windbags which might be the secret weapon for a next AC challenge ?

get your bags packed Jon, we're on the mothafucka !! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

you are all dismissed. frankly I would be much more open to sharing with you my life's experiences, as bodacious as they are, if you treated me with a bit more respect. I deserve nothing less, neigh, I demand nothing less!

Hmmm, not much happening this morning, I see...

Still waiting for the Fed Ex truck, his new Canon pro-SLR perhaps? maybe the truck was blown off the road, winds are now up from 33, gusting to about 51-knots... Hope he can still hear himself think, above the scream of the halyards...

Deleties on several of the Comments, bit of a slap in the face to the 26 (undoubtedly up to about 51 by now) respondents offering the correct answer, and thanking him for providing their lunch-break diversions...

Thanks for the offer to help fund a fact-finding junket to the Archipelago, but I'd rather check out how things are going in Afghanistan, or Darfur, thank you very much...

sorry to disappoint you nwsailboat. it's calm here and Carol spells her last name Hasse. there's a turkey in the oven for dinner tonight, and we need to decide if we are going sailing or a day trip to Seattle tomorrow. the forecast isn't looking too bodacious.

good winds this week eh? residents here on the island reported 70 mph gusts, and here at the marina they recorded 54 knot peak gusts.

slow day at West Marine? oh, and if you are going to fabricate and hone your nascent wordsmithing, at least get it right. it's bodacious-weekend .. and I prefer Phad Thai!

LOL!!!

enough with the incessant cajoling about the effects of the spring on my auto-pilot. not that those ensconced on the CoI would be able to comprehend such dynamics or the metrics involved, but here is a drawing that should clear the air for those so inclined to understand the greatness of my engineering talents.

Dr. Mesmer--paging Dr. Mesmer...

Mozart poked fun at this sort of thing in his opera Cosi Fan Tutte--just a few years ago! BTW, in case you thought there was no connection between Mozart and the New World...his librettist, Lorenzo da Ponte, was the first professor of Italian at Columbia University.

Sorry for the digression. What the hell am I thinking? Back to my wine. Uh oh--it's a Shiraz...
