The verdict will be out in three weeks but most of you in this forum will be happy to learn that there will never be a 3rd edition of CNEV's "annual" regatta because CNEV will cease to exist as of April.
My rant is now against the Swiss and Spanish boneheads that devised that yacht club. What on earth were you thinking???? Eat your paper club now.
Well, at least for Larry and RC, their gamble paid handsomely.
Now, get your helicopters ready if you want to be able to barely keep up with the 2 trimarans racing because it ain't gonna be Valencia.... It will be much windier

Or what if this is just a planted rumor to try and give GGYC a head fake?

Good luck to anyone trying to succeed in giving LE or RC a head fake. They're not prone to misinformation or disinformation. Won't happen.
I'm no more cautiously optimistic today than I was after re-reviewing the oral arguments a few times.
When the court rules we will know.

If this is in fact the case, which is still an if at this point, I'd say EB's own gambling and greed is what got him into trouble. His pain and expense, and that of the challengers, is entirely "self inflicted". He should be talking to himself and whoever it was that some claim "gave him bad advice".
Regardless of the outcome, LE simply called him on it and did the right thing in doing so.
He should have accepted BOR's multiple offers for a fair M/C event months ago.
EB has been so far out of bounds so many times with so many issues I lost track months ago.

Josecito has a good record of giving the court's decesions weeks in advance. Sometimes he has been off on the date of the announcement by a day or two.

JoeCito has been dead right on at least two occasions in the past where the info could only come from the inside. Cito must work or have a friend who works in the court. I'm thinking this leaked info is good. That is, CNEV will be ruled a fraud; a fraud like that fucking idiot Swiss who has made a life of creating shams to screw his neighbor - until he dealt with an American who doesn't like being fucked that way.
But I don't understand why they don't think the DoG fight will be in Valencia. Why not? Ernie - going down in flames, can get one good last deal from the spanish - but he certainly cannot get good concessions from a new venue. I think it will be Valencia or Antibes, France.

On the other hand, New York has no jurisdiction as to the existance of CNEV. New York might rule on the deed, but they sure as fuck can't tell Spain who is and who is not a legitimate entity under Spanish law. CNEV will cease to exist when Spain says so; not at the end of April; and not by order of a New York court.

I interpreted the relevance of the comment with reference to the 33 Cup. NY Courts could care less if a sham yacht club continues to exist in Spain for the next 1000 years. The paper club can/may remain in place in the event EB wins a DoG race he can resurrect his totally defender-biased protocol, assuming they become deed complaint in the meantime.

Joceito's track record on court leaks is mixed.
He got one Cahn decision right but then made a few wrong calls.
Unless he is willing to provide evidence, I would not place much credence on this leak.
Although I like his passion.

The only reason for CNEV to exist was to be the Alinghi partner as a challenger of record...

No one will care is CNEV continues to exist as long as they aren't the COR. On the other hand, after the NYSC CoA rules CNEV is not eligible to be the COR, CNEV might as well die as the Spanish can enter as a Challenger under RFEV like last time.
