Any more news about the 122's. This is after all the AYC fall series site.

I was thinking about protesting all the other boats in the NE fleet for not having enough ball bearings in their furler units. Whacha think about that?

Funny you say that - yesterday morning Jamie and I were down on Sundari adjusting the rig, moving the mast butt etc... When I was looking at the furler , I noticed there may be some balls missing in the top end of it, which could have been the source of our problems. Is there something to that, or are you just taking the piss?

Sorry for the hijack, back to the 36.7 shitfight... ;) Oh, and I still like turtles.

Thanks for the info. Will add you to the list.

Where did you move the butt to, all the way forward?

We moved it as far forward as the current mast step configuration would allow us, but we are still 1/4" off from what the North tuning guide says. We will see what it looks like at MBFS and decide if we need to modify it over the winter.

INOSR - thanks - we actually are already in contact with Dave H, and he is helping us tremendously.

I've actually been meaning to send you a note; been spending some time on a Mills 41 recently and very interested to see how it goes with the Egdewater builds for the 35. Heard that so far all of the orders include a sprit which is good for the OD side of things. The 35 ticks the right boxes, it'd just be a little more lead time (not sure what build slots are opening when) and I'd like to get out on one first. Maybe you need some help during the shakedowns ;)

Summit is being "strongly encouraged" to "strongly encourage" everyone to go with the sprit option. This way the OD side doesn't get dicey (and we've now seen first hand what happens when a OD class goes "bad"!!). Fairly easy to set the boat up for a symmetrical kite configuration if you want for IRC.

Yep!

For the price of the boat, does a head rug come with it ?

Yeah but there are wingnuts in both classes I think the 36.7 could be one step behind the 105's regarding wingnuts that only because there are more wingnuts that own 105

He seems to attract the fairer sex just fine as he is, so I can't say he has a need.

If you are really serious about buying a boat, go to the class website not here. "Please don't confuse the sideshow that is SA with reality" Otherwise if you are just bashing, please carry on. I don't know what planet you are from, but in order to take a measurement of an item that is not square and flat, it takes visual interpretation to arrive at a number can be used. The system works just fine for the measurement that need to be taken. When you become an owner, you are certainly more than welcome to help improve the system. The class provides information with it's owners (the class is it's owners), just not people on SA.

So all the trigonometry I learned in high school is worthless, you can't measure an object that is not square? Stupidest thing I have ever heard, I'm sure Farr designed the keel visually, no calculations as well.

I once had my nose broken and when the doc was setting it, he used visual inspection, my damn nose is still not straight!

Tell me chucky the idiot, do you have any knowledge of geometry or trigonometry at all? I have to say with your idiotic rantings and complete lack of understanding of geometry and trigonometry, you have absolutely no place developing a system to measure anything at all. Oh and slapping a digital caliper to measure something is monkey work, you don't need any brains for that.

Now create a hyperbolic paraboloid for me within 3/1000 of an inch tolerance. Hint, a hyperbolic paraboloid looks much like a saddle, and guess what, you can measure it without visual inspection. F@rking loon.

"BTW, putting lead in the keel doesn't make a boat any stiffer"

Well, I thought I wasted a couple of hours but I learned something............

You clearly didn't spend much time in math class did you as I, a high schooler, could accomplish such a miraculous feat on this particular planet.

<SNIP>The class rules spell out what the limits are for 9 of those measurements. I am certainly a fool, but you are most certainly not an owner. These numbers are for the owner, as it is the owner who has the responsibility to be class compliant. Of course this site is for all, so carry on.

You are also a self-important sanctimonious little prick with his head so far up his ass that I'm surprised you don't give yourself a bloody nose everytime you fart!

Do you honestly expect anyone to lend any credibility to asinine comments like this? You know that your assertions won't stand up under scrutiny, yet, you refuse to consider that there might possibly be merit in another perspective while loudly proclaiming that yours is the ONLY perspective and opinion that possibly COULD be right, because, after all, "I represent the class!"

Are you racing to race, or to pose for photo-ops saying "Looky here! I'm on a boat!".

Good thing it's only the owners who vote, so I will be here a long time, at least until you and 50 others buy boats and start helping the class instead of ragging from the sidelines. I am all for you jumping in as it is a volunteer owner run class. Take over anytime and try to do a better job. I have talked to a few people interested in Beneteau's now. There wasn't one new owner in the 2009 season. You can't buy this kind of free publicity.

You are either stupid, lying or both. I have my suspicions.
