You dont have to scuttle a boat to create an artificial reef...

Seriously, can someone identify that purple bryozoan-looking stuff?

Woookie, look at all this filth muck on this keel. I'm going to need some gauze pads, wd-40, and some ball bearings...

...Awww, come on guys, it's so simple maybe you need a refresher course. It's all ball bearings nowadays. Now you prepare that transducer with some 3-in-1 oil and some gauze pads, and I'm gonna need 'bout ten quarts of anti-foul, preferably Interlux. No, no make that Pettit...

Though considerably less expensive to produce than most bottom paints, FOULING paint continues to struggle in the marketplace.

My God, I didn't think anything could top the gag reaction I had to the *first* pic.

That slimy crap is like some kind of horrible visual Siren. I try to turn away but it keeps calling. Tie me to the mast and poke out my eyes. Please. Right now.

Dockcock...someone had to give them a proper name.

Nominate your favorites here!

http://www.urbandict...p?term=Dockcock

Dockcock: A sailor who replays every moment of any race and how great they sailed it. This transpires on the docks or at the party thereafter. Their recaps and expertise becomes extremely egregious and even more belligerent the more they drink. These yachtsmen can tell you exactly what you were doing wrong the entire race, primarily because they were behind you. They don't usually win, but they are really awesome sailors, just ask them.

"I'll be by the keg listening to the dockcocks stroke each other on how amazing they raced and still managed to lose."

Thorough "in situ" immersion testing and Analysis of Beneteau's keel attachment engineering revealed a 100% pass mark.

Jean Claude Keely, MBE Engineering and Design, Beneteau, France' was pleased that after 10 years of testing, including 6 years immersion, had revealed no issues with keel movement.

Keenly said...
"Despite a 35% increase in weight and surface roughness the Beneteau 476f was still within spec and still sailed with typical Benetaeu speed and agility.

"We have recommended to the board that we adopt this technology to all Beneteaus"
