In spite of the incompetent fools that run the place, the party was a huge success. We were actually late to our own party, and we walked in to the World Champs sitting at the bar enjoying a few free beers. Hell, even Harry and Andy showed up, which is just about the rarest thing ever. Of course the old codgers went home early (after throwing a few down), but the crowd filled in quickly with super hot chicks in ridiculously sexy yellow and black costumes, a giant banana, and a full three-man "weekend at Bernie's" getup. Mark Ivey and Genny Tulloch were a stunning Harry Potter and Hermione, and our crazy Dutch friends from Geilkt were the Ghostbusters, careful not to cross the streams. Pics to follow once we've hit the road, and they're damned good.
This bar just opened up, we had 200+ people walk through the doors, and these incompetent buffoons somehow "lost" the D.J. that we'd paid for the night before! The staff and doormen were obnoxious, the supposedly discounted drinks were still a ripoff, and the sound system we were stuck with; their usual fare, was a Sirius radio that lost signal every 20 minutes. Fortunately the assembled group was so much fun that none of it mattered, and thanks to all who came and shared a drink or ten. |

And based on the way one of the owners does business, it would be a pretty stupid decision to vote for him for Mayor on Tuesday if you are an Annapolite.

I haven't seen that many people that drunk in a long time. I remember arguing with the owner about doing hand stands on my walker and he bought me a beer to stop. That had the opposite effect and I went ass over tea kettle. Thx to Krista for saving me on the landing.
