If I had eb's coin, and position, at some point a year or two ago. I would have made my defense at lake Geneva, Switzerland. Gone to court, if necessary, and won the right to race in my home waters, in front of my home club, and won in the courts, and on the water.
What a loser....
If I had le's coin and position, I would do exactly what le is forcing eb to go through. Humiliation after more humiliation. Until eb capitulates.
Why not?

If I had the coin ...

I'd find a sailing event that did not require having lawyers on retainer ... or create one of my own.

Both of the above.
Buy a new trophy.
Create a simple, but ironclad box rule for moderately fast monohull keelboats.
The boats must be able to race in winds from 5-35 knots.
There should be budgetary constraints, and an annual match racing competition.

I think I'd be doing the TP52 circuit, why spend your days in court when you can be out sailing? An RC44 would be a lot of fun too.

right, go win some races where there is more fun to be had.
Or do something as radical as these DOG monsters,
but free of the "box" and the nitpicking...

If I wanted to do an AC campaign, hire the best designers, builders, managers and sailors.
Have them train my local yacht club friends to do the AC.
Have the biggest and best parties in the history of the AC.
We might not win, but we'd have the best stories to tell and we'd certainly have had the most fun.

But if I had that kinda coin, I'd have FAR better things to do enjoying my life than doing an AC campaign.

Interesting question. As defender or challenger? They're different hands to be played.

If I had the coin, one-quarter of the total budget would be allocated towards employee bonuses if we won (and only if we won.)
