Are you an Owner/dentists that wants to up their game. I am an olympic level sailor/tactician/trimmer (Star and Finn) and have spent all my funds on campaigning for the 2012 Olympics....and as such have neglected to pay my health insurance. I know, I know not good...but this is a great opportunity for you to get a serious boost to your team and some free coaching. I am willing to trade my sailing services for your dental services. Dont worry I am not a toothless hag I just dont have the thousand bucks the local dentist wants to fill some small cavities. I own Speed Craft Composites, so if instead of sailing services you would like to trade some boat repair or riberglass and carbon fiber repair work instead, then that can be worked out too.
Feel free to PM me or email me Phil@speedcraftcomposites.com |

Carefull mate, you might get done for false advertising. You're not Olympic level until you've been to the Olympics. But then you might find a "Dentist level" student who is willing to make the trade.

True there are a lot of so called AC sailors who have sailed ACC boats but not on either the Defender or the Challenger. Sailing a Finn, 49er 420 star or any of those ilk does not necessarily make you an olympic level sailor. Come back when you qualify. Ha ha (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif) |

Your girlfriend's union (CTA) has incredible health benefits, including dental. Marry the girl why don't you? I would, even if she's 8" taller than me.

As boat business guys there are two ways to approach this deal:
1. We offer to teach how to properly use and care for the boat betwen regularly scheduled visits to the professional. and He offers to teach proper personal dental care between regularly scheduled visits to the professional. . 2. We offer to find the boat in its slip, remove all the crap like biminis and built up duct tape, take his rig down, inspect all the rigging , find and purchase replacement parts as necessary, drive the boat to a ramp, haul the boat out on our trailer, pull the boat to our shop, wash a few years worth of scum off the bottom and sides, take pictures ( while actually standing right there in the room) of things that need to be done, email the pictures to the owner with accompanying written explanations explanations and proposals for fixing the problems, fill a few cavities in the sides with plastics matched to any color of the rainbow, polish and wax the sides, hang the boat, sand off a whole lot of nasty poisonous paint, find and repair a few hundred 1 to 3 inch diameter cavities, apply a nasty toxic coating, load the boat back on the trailer, check all the running lights, Replace any bad fittings with brand new better than the original replacements, haul it to the lake, launch it, take it to the marina, raise the mast, put biminis and etc back in place, tune the rig, and store the boat safely in its slip. Our total time?? About a week. but he can work at his regular job while we do our work and He offers to walk into a room where one of us is already sitting, look in a mouth, clean up to 32 little white things, take a few pictures while out of the room, come back and tell our guy there is more work to do and to return to the chair some other time because there is already somebody in the waiting room. He offers our guy an opportunity to return sometime to sit in the chair again so the dentist can drill out one or two tiny little bad spots, squeeze in some filler, and clean off the surface of that filler. If the bad spot happens to show when our guy is smiling, the dentist offers to match the WHITE with some WHITE plastic. If there are bad but servicble teeth, the dentist offers to rip the tops off and replace those tops with glued on replacement parts that he reminds us are never as good as keeping the originals. If one of the teeth is unservicable, the dentist yanks it out and sticks a funky replacement tooth in place that is held in place by a couple hunks of glorified bailing wire or some water soluable paste that must be replaced daily...and he reminds our guy the original was much better. Total time...maybe a long morning but our guy loses most of two days because he has to go there, be there while the dentist does his work, and go home after.. |

Not great until he gets those nasty teeth fixed in exchange for raising performance level and maybe a few rectangles of cloth with cringles in a couple of corners for his barter partner. |

I'm a weekend hack. I also do a pretty fair job at raping car parts.
I'd like a soapy massage with a nice, happy ending. (and yes, Phil, you can stay at my place during Turkey Day regatta) |
