Replacement fuel tank for Schock 35.

28 January 2014 - 03:41 PM

The aluminum Diesel tank on our Schock 35 has a small leak, probably in a seam.  Looks like the cost of cleaning and repair would be more than a replacement poly tank.

Anyone know of someone doing such a tank replacement on the Schock 35?  Specifically looking for a suggestion of a particular tank that would require no or minimal mods to the fuel tank enclosure.

Current tank is 39" L x 13.25" W x 8.5" H x 5" H  (trapezoidal cross-section).  Connections for fuel and sender are on the 39" x 13.25" surface.

Also thought about flexible tanks, i.e., bladders.  No experience with these other than as spare tankage for long trip.  Anyone used them as primary tanks?
