Some live where such refinements are not available, others might find it inconvenient to run out for one hole...does work. For some reason, TI is the preferred bit around here...have to travel to another town to find Cobalt, sadly.
Try mscdirect.com (MSC industrial) . You can get screw-machine length bits too; real stiff.
Before drilling into stainless, be sure that your drill is running relatively true. Otherwise, you're in for a world of pain...
And I second Tap Magic. Buy their stainless and aluminum fluids for the shop.
