A close look shows a fouled prop. I have no idea when that happened; but it would make sense that they tried to motor out of there when they realized they were in real trouble.

More photos from another angle here:

I salvaged a few non-valuables from the flotsam later in the afternoon--the rolling cooler, a couple un-paired shoes (was hoping to find the other ones), a first-aid kit, and a fragment of the hull (just the laminate and an outer layer of glass, really). I will be happy to pass it all along to the owner.

Hey, thanks so much to those offering such flattering compliments.  I really appreciate it all!

I've posted a small gallery from the shoot at: http://lyonsimaging....y/8357654_m5PbU

It was a very challenging shoot.  Even shooting RAW (as always) the contrast between the Viper's nuclear white hull and Drew's face under the ballcap's visor is just crazy, and was a real challenge.  The acrylic dome one the housing was probably no help.  But better safe than sorry.

Essex, all the blurred-motion exposures here were 1/15 or 1/30th.  To make those work, I shoot a lot, and throw away most.  Good fun though!

I know nuthing...

Looks like it's the Stbd side of the boat.  Who was on Stbd?

IE was on Starboard, the other boat was on Port.
It's actually the port side of IE you're looking at.  Or so I'm told.

It's all here-say.  I, like Photoboy, for the record, know nothing.
