paradox

Just registered to race one of my favorite Regatta's CRW. It'll be my 4th year in a row and 2nd racing in the Harbor. I would advice anyone that knows they are going to start making plans now. Hotel's near the resort book fast and registration and party passes are cheaper if booked in advance. Just an easy way to save some cash, if you know your going. Only the 3rd day of winter and I'm soooo ready for spring.

Do you have any suggestions on where to stay in Charleston? It will be our first time racing this regatta, so any help would be great. What kind of breeze have you had on average? And more importantly what kind of weather, as I to am already sick of winter!

We will be bringing at least one K650 (we are trying to close on the delivery of hull #2 in the US) to Charleston Race Week. If anyone is interested in taking a demo ride around the week of the regatta, please send your desired dates to brendan@yumboatsusa.com.

We are also the Rep in the Northeast for the Open 5.70 and will be trying to encourage the Newport Fleet to attend. We now have 4 boats sailing in Newport, RI. and have a demo boat available for sale ($26,000.00 black hull, every option, delivered anywhere in the East) which would make for a 6 boat fleet with our own start in local racing. Hopefully some of these boats would like to attend Charleston.

Are there any other races (sportboat fleets?) we should attend in the South during the winter? Any suggestions would be helpful. The K650 will be heading to warmer weather in late January to be available for demos (and I can runaway to warm weather and say it's for work) in Florida.
