Let's suppose you are a guy sitting in prison who nows the woman who accused him was lying through her teeth.

 

What would you like that woman to believe would be the result if she were to stroll into the District Attorney's office and say

 

"That guy we convicted of rape didn't do it."

For me it is hard to give a shithead who once totally fucked somebody over a reward but...If the goal is to spring every flasly convicted guy aaASAP, shouldn't we be praising and rewarding those who come clean??

 

I hate to let bygones be bygones as much as anybody, but wouldn't we all be better off if we simply let this woman keep her millions and simply thank her for doing the right thing now and help the guy get his life going again??

I know I would prefer the slimebag lying piece of shit who spread bullshit about me just stand up, admit he lied his ass off and even eagerly pay to publish apologies than he fear the consequences and remain silent or stick to his story until his death.

I say if he comes clean and starts telling everybody what a total liar he was and how he understands he caused lots of unjustified damages we should congratulate him on his CURRENT life as an honorable person.... and, if he lacks the resources to pay restitution, just live and let live.

I totally and completely disagree with this.  If there are no serious disincentives to lying about something like this, there would be a lot more people in jail accused falsely.  Serious consequences, like the bitch getting shot in the head, need to exist as a deterrent to false accusations. 

 

She's not a hero - she's a total cunt for doing it in the first place and will forever remain a cunt, regardless of her reasons for recanting now.  I'm glad she's recanting her story - but she needs to be made an example of for future cunts like this who would put a guy in prison for years on a false accusation.
