I am going down tomorrow to see the "finished" Fautassi.
They are painting it today so it will be uspide down.
I will go down tomorrow morning and meet with my clients at the boat. It is due to be shipped on Monday.

I'm ready for my trip and a table full of Vai'ilima's. ( hope I speed that correctly.
I'll get some pics tomorrow. I'll post them on this thread.

I went sailing yesterday. Flew all the sails. Had a good time. The weather was perfect. The boat was a tall rigged Baba 40, 6' extra stick. Nice boat.

Here are some more pics of Bob's Fawtassi. The boat has been turned over and the shop crew is in the process of removing the molds and ribbands. They will next glass the interior, add stiffeners, seats, etc. I wish I could have gotten a full profile view but the room was too narrow. 116' and 46 beefy samoan oarsmen. I really want to see the sea trials for this!

They should be close to finishing it by now, I would think. I'm sure Bob will fill us all in when he gets back from vacation.

At the moment, the only pictures we have are the renderings. The paint scheme may change.

are you the boat desinger? that is a work of art. i am from american samoa and currently living in hawaii. i rowed for the village of nuuuli until 1999 when i moved to hawaii.i have always wanted to desinge and build a fautasi of my own oneday. you have a boat similar to what i allways imagened in my head.i can gurante with the right crew and skipper that boat will beat the current champion by far.cant wait to see it in real life.
