In Topic: Can anyone identify this 12 Metre?

A dig through my dad's (Wells Coggeshall) boxes and boxes of old 35mm Kodack slides would likely confirm it's Norsaga. He crewed on her (as Phoenix - Charles Coyer owner) in the SORC in 1973 and had a bunch of pictures. A 12 Meter "Where are they now" website last lists her as "undergoing restoration" in 1991. I suspect somebody bit off more than they could chew as that's the last bit of info I could find. As I recall Wells said she leaked like a sieve in 1973.

In Topic: Love Machine - any info?

I think there were a series of Love Machines but could be wrong. All I remember was a great shot of Love Machine that was used in a foul weather gear (Atlantis?) ad for several years. Showed her stack of rail meat getting plastered be a wave at the start of the Miami Nassau SORC race in the late 70's. We were right beside her on a the PJ 49 Cogg-nizant (ex Bay Bea II) and I'm sitting here looking a a similar Leutwiller picture of us getting similarly creamed that hangs on my wall. Nothing but 2 feet of keel of that old war horse still in the water. Got to love crossing the Gulf Stream with a 30 knot wind out of the north. She was a pretty boat for her day. Would love to see what she looks like today.

Wow. Never realized my dad ever got that close to the pointy end of a boat.
