no until now. if the foil gets air it is not very efficient but then it works more as a waterski. you do not loose much of the lift you need - but you get wet:-) it may look different when you go with 25kts of speed in really naste condidtions - i do not know. i didn't reach these spheres up to now.

you know that sailing with wind from the side (about 90 degrees) is fast and fun on a board. its planing. you can do that also on a catamaran, then it is maybe not planning, but you go fast also.


Hello Quant 28, I perfectly see the bonus in this situation, it is often a "danger zone" in skiff or multihull.
It is nice to see the righting moment increase when you need it most and when you ask yourself: "do I bear off or do I luff"?

Did you experience any "stall?" of the foil in this situation?
