Amazon Prime has lots of free streaming TV shows and movies,,, I don't know it compares to the other subscription services if you just want video, but we buy it for the free shipping on Amazon purchases and decided that it was good enough for us to drop Netflix.

In Topic: Sleep Number any good?

We had a "Select Comfort" bed for a while, and I would say it is much better than an old straw mattress , or even an old interspring  mattress.   :)    Why not give it a try?

However, I do agree with several of the other posters who say that they prefer "memory foam".
We have a very expensive "Temperpedic" mattress at our house, which I like very much, and we also have some almost identical "memory foam" mattresses on the boat and in my daughters rooms which seem to be almost exactly the same at about a third of the price.

BTW. I really like having the memory foam mattress on the boat.  The owner's cabin on Nirvana is about 10 feet forward of the mast so there can be some motion there in a seaway, but the fact that you "sink in" a little bit on a foam mattress means that we can sleep there without being thrown around a lot of times when we (if we had an interspring mattress) would otherwise have to put up the lee cloths or move to a sea berth.

People have told my that they don't want a foam mattress because they "sleep hot", but I don't think that is a problem.  I've lived aboard in the tropics during the summer on a boat without A/C, andit seems like you are hot no matter what your mattress is made of. :)

Just ask yourself, how many times have you been cold on the boat as opposed to being too warm...

I suppose I'm snooty too. I've seen a lot of Mac 26's, since the FOYD days we've been very cognizant of them.

I've seen very few sailing.

I guess it depends where you look... More times than I want to remember I've driven by the pier near the local harbor (about 900 slips) on beautiful sailing days (and even a few that weren't that great) and the only boats out on the water are various MacGreggor's.

BTW BJ, I feel sorry for you because now you have to find someplace to watch the Superbowl where they won't turn it off during the last 5 minutes because the "football" (soccer) game is about to start. :) :) :)
