The Fastnet cable is completely different (and only uses 4 wires: 2 are power, 2 are data) and is a digital signal

The NETWORK compass uses 2 for power and 3 for signal (North/South, East/West and a common/neutral) and I think they use a SIN(sinus) function. Not 100% sure about that.

vhm = (v)mhu I guess =  (vertical) mast head unit

Set the offset to zero (0)

WIND -> MEAS W/A ==> CALIBRATE -> MHU ANGL   (or sometimes APP W/A)

then reset the 20/20

I'm curious, can old B&G synchro analogs be used with the H3000?  We're looking to redo the instruments and wouldn't mind re-using some of the analogs if possible.

Joli, the analogs can't be used, the H3000 analogs are connected through the GFD and a SIMNET connection

And what is the H-Link communication?

The H-Link is the serial protocol (on a USB port) to connect the Zeus to a H3000.

The commands are described in the H3000 manual, and are used to get the Polar data and TWA and TWS correction from the H3000 to the Zeus. The Polar can be loaded into memory, but isn't used by the Zeus for calculations.

Also all H3000 data is bridged I believe.

The Zeus Touch isn't capable of doing this, but could be connected to a Zeus to get the polar data.
