Uno. Doing it DH with Tristan Mouligne. After we plow our way there, I drop him off and use the return delivery plus a few miles as my solo qualifier for the RdR

So all you anarchists keep the questions for RM to a minimum during the race!...I need RM to focus! As a matter of fact...am I going to disconnect Dragons Inmarsat....hmmmm

Oh, savage, you're the henderson 30 from east greenwich....sailing upwind tacking through 120 on a henderson 30 is really slow. All 4 boats that you "lost" to that day were talking about it at the awards.

"Savage 17 " you are right, the yanmar 2gm20f weighs 114kg, the gear weighs 40kg and the engine box, mounting pan and accesories, starting batt, ect probably another 40 for a grand total of 194 kg or so say 427 lbs versus what for a 6 hp outboard that drags no gear?

you are still however a hater and the owner of that boat does not sit on the phrf committee, he did sit as a layperson years ago and to suggest favoritism makes you look bad. find another sport to bash and tarnish. if you dont like the roller furling credit, petition to have the rule changed. did you get beat by one or all of the quests while racing or are you just the king curmugeon?

Wheelman...... I don't care! If I raced against it regularly, then I would protest it.....
Only time I raced against the quest 33 this year, I passed it upwind like it had just run aground.....
Funny that a Quest 33 in PHRF New England rates 87, but PHRF rates it 93... I've seen 3 seconds as normal delta, but 6 is little high in my opinion....
I do prefer the approach PHRF NE took with spelling out what is included in roller curler credit...
Working roller furling with sail attached to swivel and above deck drum are required. If the drum is below deck, the credit will be halved. Boats that come with built in roller furling are not eligible for this credit. In cases where the intent of this adjustment is not honored, the credit will be denied. The credit may also be reduced on performance boats to 3 seconds per mile. Special racing roller furling sails are not allowed. As a rule of thumb, the foot skirt should not exceed 3 percent of the foot length in depth. If the boat is cutter rigged, the staysail must also be roller furling and be capable of being used upwind.

With due respect, Savage 17 you come across as arrogant and conspiracy theory esque to say the least. being "that guy" who is the hater, know it all rule maker, best sailor on the world gets old very fast.

The 30's were all very similar boats in spec. the 33's varied quite a bit (see the Evelyn 32's and how similar they are),  IMHO...PHRF is well intended to suit low level family racing, it is imperfect and tries to compare wildly different boats racing on the same course. nit picking about roller rurling, minutia details about jib skirts ect is tiring, why not just go on to FULL MEASUREMENT and all race IRC or ORR or ORC or better yet , one design.

Please dont besmirch other sailors and boats here when you do not have all the information, again, it makes you look bad and has poor reflection on the sport!
Wheelman..... Opinions are like assholes...everyone has ones....
Welcome to sailing anarchy... This is a public forum... What did you think was going to happen? I didn't start the thread, I just added my opinion.... Did I personally attack anyone? No I just stated what I knew. We all know phrf isn't perfect, but is the best option most of us have.... It will never be perfect....I guess you haven't ready any of the other threads.... J29 owners bitching about Evelyn 32 ratings....
At the end of the day as I said I don't care. The only time I raced the quest 33 I beat it. I did loose to tristian this year, but didn't bitch or start a thred about it. So, check your facts before you go putting labels on people you don't know in the smallest state in an even smaller sport because I can garentee we will run into each other.
I hope you and your family have a happy holiday!

My name is Tristan. Not Tristian.
Who are you, Savage?

Anybody have an investor sponsor presentation for the Bermuda 1-2 or something like the Newport-Bermuda Race or Annapolis to Bermuda Race that they can share?

A life raft and a new bottom are expensive.

Abilyn, sent you a pm. Check it out.
