Obsessed with boats and boating. Sail, power, multi-hull, monohull, racing, cruising, oceans, lakes, rivers, Tropics, Alaska, single handed, just the two of us, fully crewed, intense, casual, full party, its all good! Well over 80,000 nautical miles voyaging under sail, and another 80+ thousand miles voyaging on powerboats. I've won hundreds of races. Fun is reason for it all!
I've been boating as long as I can remember. I've owned boats since I could buy them with paper route money, and intend to own boats until my remains are given to the sea.
Sometimes I even earn money from boats: chartering, professional racer, sailing master, sail maker, rigger, BN, design consultant. However, I generally make my money doing computer science research at Caltech.
