I don't understand people who DON'T love animals.

Me neither - they're delicious.
What I don't understand is people who don't understand my deep aversion to stepping in dog shit, dog fleas, dog hair everywhere, dogs rubbing their wormy arses on carpet, dogs barking all day and night, dogs jamming their noses in my crutch, dogs licking their arses and then my hand - dogs love me, I hate 'em. Not too keen on hearing mice scream at night when the girlfriend's cat is torturing them either.

Great track. Boring race. A drivers' competion but the cars are all the same, unlike the old days when different models had advantages at different parts of the circuit which made it interesting.

Anybody who calls the Bathhurst Race boring has never even come close to turning a wheel in anger.

Of course it's fun to drive a race car but for the viewers - batshit.
In the seventies and eighties we'd get out the bowl and the beers and have a great day - the cars were different from eachother, they looked different, they sounded different, they were more likely to fail mechanically, the drivers weren't controlled by spin doctors, blah blah blah.

Now you want excitement. Well let me tell you about the time I got stuck in Smegma Creek when old Dolly couldn't pull the sulky across. It were back in '52, no wait, I tell a lie it were wet that year so it must have been '56, well Dolly got stuck see ...    Rave, rant, mumble, mumble.

I don't get that, it's boring because its a Drivers race???

Yes the cars are the same apart from supplier of engines, Its the same as a Handicap system, it comes down to the team, which includes the driver, to get the best out of it.

You might be bored, but I'll certainly enjoy watching 'BATHURST' tomorrow.

Yep. Boring.  Cookie-cutter cars and micro-managed hardware and teams.
Though there was some really stupid stuff in the past such as one race that had a dangerous Volvo grandpa-mobile that was so slow that it was a mobile roadblock the other cars had to avoid. The juicy parts were the little twin-cammers revving their rings off across the top of the mountain eating up the heavier pushrod V8 wagons and then getting blown away on Conrod straight. Plus the thrill of wondering who was going to get terminal oil-surge and throw a rod.

Thats cool, go and visit your local speedway and you may get that.  I'll bet if your sitting around tomorrow you'll watch 'BATHURST'

But apart from that, enjoy living in the old world grampa.  I guess you'll be listening to Macka in the morning while Mum makes Tea and Toast.

Nah. Trying to get the mancave finished tomorrow.
But you young whippersnappers will have a good time watching those shitboxes gain a couple of feet occasionally.
Though I might get the mighty Austin Marina out and have a crack at the 6-litre Crummadores outside the milkbar. (I run it on premium 98 but worry about the head gasket).   That's if I can find my fireproof dressing gown and slippers of course.
