Here is the page from the CFJ class website with specific dimensions for running and standing rigging: CFJ line length. It states that 30' is good but as scowlover said, you can go shorter and still be ok. We use 24' for High School sailing and have no problem with the skipper going to a wing. When the ends fray, we will keep hot knifing them till they are 22' long, then they need to be replaced. 30' is simply too much extra line in the bottom of the boat.

FJ tillers anyone? I think I have six brand new ones...

Also, have a reel of Samson XLS in 3/16" I will check the footage.

1/4" Inexpensive polyester cordage in all white.

There's more...I'll get it posted over the next two days.
