  1. It is OK for all us guys sailing at the seaside! When launching into weedy rivers and lakes like the River Thames, the rear flaps prevent the boat filling up with weeds and worse!
  2. To quote Mark Twain ‘Lies Damn Lies and statistics’ is relevant here. You are right Sloan, only 15 of the 24 Aero entries ventured onto the water, the weather was wild. The entry included 14 year old sailors in their first senior regatta up to a 73 year young competitor from Perth. It is worth noting of the five girls entered, three of them finished ALL races.   4. 24 Aero's have entered for Australian Championships on April 1st and 2nd with competitors from WA, NSW, Vic and SA Target is 25!. The Aero 5's have been included with the Laser Radials coaching at the Victorian Youth Championships the following week, for the first time, we have a boat available to lend Once some more Kiwi's get aboard, we are looking forward to some great Southern Hemisphere action. The next Aero demo day will be held at Sorrento CBC Victoria and Hunters Hill SC New South Wales in mid April.

  6. Our next Aero open days to try the boats are: The Festival of Sails, Geelong on 25th, 26th, and 27th, January, and at Balmoral SC Sydney Harbour on Saturday 4th Feb 8.30 to 12.30.   11. Sail Sandy Regatta Melbourne Australia With Saturday's 25+ knots of wind causing sailing to be cancelled, the Sail Sandy regatta was squeezed into the Sunday. Numbers were down, as the forecast had put many sailors off entering.. The RS Aero's, RS200's and 100's sailed together, which provided some close mixed handicap racing, with Alister Danks in an Aero 7 narrowly beating Pete Milne and Lara Blasse in their RS200, a notable 3rd equal were Phillipa Danks and Jackie Lokum (both under 16) in their Aero 5's.   13. The first Aero National championships since becoming an International class are being held at Royal Brighton Yacht Club Melbourne this week end. Some very high calibre sailors, but more importantly, beginners and good club level sailors will be taking part. The international line up includes Australians, and sailors from New Zealand and the UK. There will be good proportion of juniors, and ladies racing with the guys all in one fleet, in a mix of Aero 5's and 7's. The emphasis of the event will be two days of quality racing, mixed with boat set up instruction and coaching for the les
