Progressing the tracker, the Wind will carry Commanche in a building breeze to the corner and then nicely across Storm bay.

Unless there's a major deviation from forecast (and it's been surprisingly predictive for the last 30 hrs) or a breakdown, this is all over but the fanboy bleating.

    Nicely done.

Setup to take a careful start,

run away building separation to the East,

    finesses the transistions

and then pure power across Bass Strait with a gybe to favorable angle to the corner while your competition is on the wrong gybe.

Stan’s the man. As well as the rest of the crew.

the d-splicer kit says only up to 4mm  ... you'd think with 4 fids they'd have a greater size range..

D-Splicer has fixed handles as well that go up to 10mm. I really like those. Selma fids work great as well. But not with Dyneema

I usually measure a dozen times, take a break, measure again just to make sure, chuck up the bit, and stand there looking at it for a few minutes before I actually cut anything. The bigger the hole, or the more of them, the longer it takes me to screw up the courage.

Better to screw up your courage than the boat.

What you all aren't seeing is the extending robotic arm that holds the chartplotter out & up, it responds to voice commands and holds at the exact height requested and also tilts it so there is no glare.

I'm intrigued by the GMC truck.   At first I though it was some prospectors camper, but upon closer inspection, it has a number of base loaded antenna and an exhaust with a muffler up on the left top edge of the box on the back.   Prepper escape vehicle, Area 51 observatory, industrial pizza truck?   Who knows...

Who is this Roberts designer I see a lot of recently?

Falmouth Week '17 with my 2 boys crewing on our 1250 quid 4kt sh*tbox.

13 races, 9 bullets, a 2nd, discarded a 2nd & 3rd. Wednesday - Champagne Race does not count for the series - but won that as well, hence the bubbly, Class shield and the Drambui Cup for best yacht of the week.

Grew up on the Great Lakes in the Detroit area. This was always one of my favorite boats. Dick Carter design NA 40. I am sure @Cal20sailor is familiar with these. Hull #4, built 1978. She is currently getting ready to race in the Chi/Mac. Then down to Port Huron for the BYC Mac. Went to school with the owner. Oh, he has got 12 trophies in the Chi/Mac on FT.

2nd in their division. It was definitely a drifter this year.
