  1. Gotta have the get things done tribe and their extended networks.
  2. Something about casting the first stone.
  3. The material cost savings of goo vs epoxy is likely trivial compared to the labor you will need to remove the deck and reinstall it properly later.
  4. Norton blue is ruthless. The local autobody wholesale supplier was my go to source although my use is greatly curtailed these days.
  5. And carpet. And pretty much everything else that is sold needs to have an advance disposal fee included.
  6. I believe that only pyrolysis could work if the process was optimized. Then will still end up with a bunch of glass melt in addition to the recovered hydrocarbon mass from the resin. The other less friendly alternative to landfilling is waste to energy plants where it's ground up and then slowly added to the waste feed. The clinker ash would then be just a bit more special with the glass residue and antifouling slag. It's the old fiberglass trees thing again.
  7. We'll be at sea, so we'll catch fish to eat.....
  8. Murphy 's Law is typically cited as something like "If it can go wrong it will." Although an alternate early version which has faded from use is that "IF anyone can do it wrong, he can". THE Murphy was reportedly a test pilot and the second passage refers to a technician/mechanic. Source: a Murphy.
  9. Hey! You tied a noose. Actually it was a rolling hitch.

I suspect it is made of tweed.
  11. 1970, the Britt Chance revised Intrepid from 1967 was selected over Valiant, the fresh out of the box NYYC in house syndicate special. In 74 S&S came back strongly with Courageous.
  12. Missing a "Weekend at Bernie's" version.
  13. The power of Sailing Anarchy. Congrats to the new owner. Looking forward to the updates.
  14. They will be lucky to get Monopoly Money for it. Do not pass Go. Start the offer with "what is it going to cost you to get rid of it?"
  15. Pretty sure your model ignores the budget velocity factor term. That is a critical component.
  16. I used to have one in my kitchen.
  17. Dave, Also cold water in a well mixed system vs will contain more dissolved gas than warmer water at an equal percent gas saturation and salinity. Perhaps the pressure decrease of the water going over the foil results in gas being liberated due to our friend the ideal gas law? Water flows over the foil and poof! at a certain pressure change the gas begins to boil out and once it starts to bubble other dissolved gas sparges out with it. I'm guessing this is not a subtle onset since the pressure decrease is exponential with increasing speed. Differences in salinity also make a dif
  18. At some point Pelosi is going to need to get on with actually conducting the People's business instead of her own, and that of her "con$tituency". Certainly a poster child for term limits and a deep forensic audit. How many more years of Waaah Waah Trump?
  19. Ashteroids Smashteroids! I've been starin' into space for years.
  20. Stiff Boom = Good to VERY Good Stiff Mast = Not So Much up to certain limits before the gates of doom.

  22. White polyurethane will brighten it up nicely.
  23. First move your weight aft. That will help. Practice will help too. If the daggerboard is down too far it will try to take over control of the boat. If it's up too far you won't be able to control the boat. Overtrimming and stalling the main can help until it doesn't. Practice will help. Be sure to do your pullups during the week. They will pay off after the second capsize. Good luck. Alternative is to get a radial rig for windy days. Buy the generic parts instead of the overpriced class ones. Then go practice. And do your pullups. Also, do everyone a favor and check yo
  24. Oh it's just the camel's nose of assimilation. Complicated? That's just starting, then it will get simple and very obvious. Maybe you have been to China? All you need to know involves getting on and off the train.
